Dead Space Remake is the newest horror game out there, which is a revamped version of the 2008 original. There are a lot of visual and graphical enhancements in the game, but most things have remained the same. Or have they? You might be wondering about the Dead Space Remake node doors which were in the original.

Node doors, if old-time players remember, were one of the most annoying elements of the game. As the rebooted game has made several quality-of-life improvements, players are wondering if they have removed this feature.

Well, let’s find out! Keep reading to see if the Dead Space Remake node doors are also in the new game.

Does the Dead Space Remake have node doors?

Power node doors were used to protect some of the most valuable resources of the game. Players would have to make the difficult decision of spending a power node to open a door. As the contents inside depended on luck, this would play out as a gamble. Often, players would walk away dissatisfied.

Well, you will be glad to learn that the devs at Motive have removed the node doors from the remake! In their place, you now have more interesting lock systems in place. These are in the form of security clearance keys, where you don’t need to spend power nodes.

Now, you will be able to save up on the rare power nodes and use them for upgrading Isaac’s stats and equipment. As for the security clearance keys, you can collect them as you play the game in order to open doors.

We hope that you are relieved to hear that the frustrating node doors have now completely disappeared from the remake. If you’re looking for more guides, make sure to check out how to find the Peng treasure and how to unlock the wishbone achievement.
