Does Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty have romance? Character holding an item

Does Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty have romance?

Finding love in Night City is a really hard thing to do. Originally, you had the option to choose between only four romance options: Judy, Panam, River, and Kerry. Even though all these characters were memorable in their own right, the players always wanted more characters and much more extensive romance quests that they could follow through to woo them. With the Phantom Liberty expansion, many players are expecting to get some new additions to the romances in this game. However, if you don’t know anything about this topic, then this article will provide you with the answer to the question: does Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty have romance?

Are there any romance options in Cyberpunk 2077?

Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty does not have any new romance options. You won’t be able to romance any of the new characters in this expansion. However, the older romance options are still available.

This is a huge missed opportunity, as players were already lukewarm with the romance options they already had, so giving players new characters would’ve been a great way to expand the horizons of what romance means in this game.

But it also makes sense why devs chose not to include any kind of romance in the story of Phantom Liberty. Dogtown is supposed to be a dangerous place, and you are playing a really important part in the main story. So, you will have to stay focused and put more emphasis on your story choices and combat. You don’t have the luxury of flirting with the new characters in Dogtown.

Having a romance option would’ve been fun, but in the eyes of the developers, it would’ve been a strange distraction. But still, I don’t think any players would’ve complained about a new romance option in Phantom Liberty.
