How to upgrade PS5 for Gran Turismo 7

The first thing to note is that there are two upgrade methods available: digitally and physically. Both of them have their own set of requirements. Let’s look at them in more detail, then.

The first method involves upgrading from the physical PS4 disc, which is only possible if you have the version of the PS5 that comes with a disc drive. Although you can still play the PS4 version of GT7 on the PS5, you won’t be able to enjoy the full extent of the game’s graphical capabilities, which include ray-tracing and 4K resolution. 

To upgrade, you’ll need to insert your PS4 disc into your PS5. Then you can head to the PS Store to purchase the standard digital version of GT7 for $10. This is a different console version of the game, but it’ll work.

The second upgrade method is more straightforward and doesn’t require any physical media. If you own the digital PS4 version of the game, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10 at any time. This works even if you haven’t installed the game on your system. Simply head to the game’s page on the PS Store and select the upgrade option.
