Since the buttons don’t do anything, the answer lies in the settings menu. In the World Map screen, navigate your way to the GT Menu in the top-left portion and into the Options menu. You’ll find that the first choice is deactivating that pesky intro cutscene.

Don’t get us wrong, that cutscene is quite something to look at. But watching it every time we boot up Gran Turismo 7? Nah Polyphony, that’s a bit too much. So that means you’ll have to watch it at least once, before being able to get rid of it for good, but come on… once is not a big deal, right?
