Fire Emblem Engage is the most recent addition to the Fire Emblem series. Something that might be new for players in Fire Emblem Engage is the Weapon Proficiency feature, so read on to find out how this works.
Released on 20th January for the Nintendo Switch, the game has been much awaited by RPG lovers. You will be able to find some familiar faces from previous installments in the series as you work together to defeat the Fell Dragon.
Weapons are an important aspect of tactical RPGs, so let’s find out more about Fire Emblem Engage Weapon Proficiency!
Fire Emblem Engage Weapon Proficiency Explained
To unleash the real potential of your characters, you will need to use good weapons. There is a Weapon Proficiency system in Engage that you need to be familiar with if you want to pick the right weapons. Not all weapons are accessible at first as your unit needs to reach a certain level first.
Every character in Fire Emblem Engage has a default Weapon Proficiency, which is basically what they’re good at. It refers to the type of Weapon Skill that the unit has. You will be able to change this skill or reclass the character only if they have the Proficiency for it.
If you want to reclass a character’s Weapon Skill, you need to gain Proficiency. The only way you can do this in Fire Emblem Engage is through the Emblems. You will need to increase your Bond level with the characters. Here are two ways that you can achieve this:
- Initiate Bond Conversation with your units.
- Participate in Arena Trainings with the unit that you want to increase Bond Level.
In this way, you will be able to increase Weapon Proficiency as well as other skills. Once you reach the Weapon Proficiency required, you will be able to reclass your character to the skill that you want.
