A Turtle Race sounds exactly like what it is – a race to see which turtle will win. You win if you bet on the fastest turtle. It does seem a bit like gambling, until you figure out the secret.

Look for the shady-looking guy in the alleyway, who will ask for 40 coins for a secret he knows. You don’t need to spend your hard-earned money on him, because we will tell you the secret to winning turtle races.

In case you do give the man your money, he will just tell you to talk to the turtles. That’s all you need to do to figure out who’s going to win. Approach the turtles in the race area, where you will be able to interact with them. 

There are five turtles who race against each other, and one of them won’t have a word to say. Three others will whisper the word “turtle” very slowly. You will need to listen carefully to figure it out. However, one of the turtles has a fighting spirit, and will proudly say “turtle!” loud and clear. That’s your winner.
