During chapter 4 as Alan Wake, you will need to enter the Oceanview Hotel. However, if you enter through the front door, you will follow a loop of doors and end up outside on the street again. Thus, you must find another way in.
To enter the Oceanview Hotel in Alan Wake 2, head to Ocean Ave and look for the Mirror Peak bar neon sign in a small alley. Follow the path until you meet Casey in a cutscene and head towards the next Mirror Peak Bar neon sign. Go inside the bar and once you reach the roof, go down the ladder on your left and up the stairs.
Crouch below the construction debris and head up the next ladder while using your light to keep the shadows away. In the middle of the roof, find a door blocked by a shadow and use your light to make it disappear. Enter that door and follow the path forward.
