What consoles is Starfield on?

Bethesda’s upcoming space RPG game has us all on the edge of our seats. We’re dying to play it and we’re fully prepared to give thousands of hours of our lives away to exploring its vast galaxies and planets. But what consoles will Starfield be on and where can you play this beast of a game?

We hear you. Maybe you’re excited for Starfield and still have that dusty old day one Xbox One lying around the place, or maybe you have the latest Xbox Series X and OLED TV and you’re ready to get all those juicy graphics delivered directly into your eyeballs – we know that feeling for sure.

Either way, what consoles will Starfield be on and everything else pertaining to that very question will be below.

What consoles will Starfield be on?

Starfield, Bethesda’s latest space RPG game, will only be available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. That means it will not be on the Xbox One console when it releases. While this is unfortunate for those who have yet to pick up the latest Xbox consoles, Starfield has hundreds of planets to explore and is a true next-gen experience that likely can’t run on older hardware.

Starfield will also be available on PC, and it is coming to Game Pass on day one of its release. The game was due to be released in November 2022, but it has now been delayed until later in 2023. That means you have quite a bit of time to save up and grab yourself a swanky new Xbox console of your choice before you can actually play Starfield.
