How to get more survivors in Stranded Alien Dawn

The key to meeting more survivors is going on an Expedition. But before that, you’ll need to build a Hot Air Balloon. Don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it sounds. All you need is 20 Sticks, 10 Metal Alloys, and 50 Cloth or Leather in the Science Menu.

But wait, there’s more. To use the Hot Air Balloon, you’ll also need Liquid Fuel. And to make Liquid Fuel, you’ll first need to extract Vegetable Oil. To get Vegetable Oil, you’ll need to unlock Oil Extraction in the Research Menu. And to unlock Oil Extraction, you’ll need to get Grain. If you want to know how, we’ve got a guide for that too.

Once you have Grain, you can make Vegetable Oil, and with that, you can make Liquid Fuel. But be patient, it takes six in-game hours to make 10 Liquid Fuel with 10 Vegetable Oil.

Now, you’re all set to go on Expeditions and find more survivors. Look for signal flares and ascending smoke to increase your chances of success. And if you don’t find anything, try restarting your game.

Remember, you can’t have more than eight survivors in your campaign, but having more survivors is always better.
