Where to find Shovel in Sons of the Forest
To get the shovel, you need these key items to progress through the cave: rope gun, rebreather, air tank, and a weapon for defense against enemies. Head to the cave west of the snowy mountains and near the center of the map. Here, you will find three streams intersecting at the entrance and three dead bodies outside. Create a tent outside the entrance before entering.
Now, you can use the rope gun to ride the zipline into the cave. Equip the rebreather and prepare to dive downwards when you reach the body of water. You’ll need to follow the underwater tunnel until you reach an opening. Exit the water and slide down the slope to land in a pool of water. Next, climb onto the cave floor and continue through the cave until you reach a larger room with two deceased humans inside.
On the right side of the cave, you’ll find another opening which leads to another large cavern. There is a body inside with the flashlight attachment that you need to take from their cold, dead hands. Follow the pathway to reach another underwater portion of the cave. There is an underwater tunnel here where you need to swim until you surface on the other side. Finally, follow the path to find a body with a shovel on its lap.
