It is possible to play Starfield on Xbox One when the space RPG comes out on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, but not in the way you might think. Bethesda’s next space RPG will be on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC only, but you can play Starfield on Xbox via the company’s cloud gaming service.

To do this, ensure that your Xbox One has all the latest updates possible. Then, navigate to the Starfield game tile in Game Pass. That should bring up a menu with the option to “play” the game. This play option will have a cloud icon next to it, indicating that you will be launching the cloud version of Starfield.
