The Dead Island 2 Nikki prize key can be found in Beverly Hills. Make your way to the area and walk towards the hiking trail in the northwestern section of the map. But it’s not as simple as that, since you must first progress through the story up to the 20th main quest, Board Walking Dead.
Prize keys are usually obtained from killing a special kind of zombie, called “Target Practice”. When these zombies feed on corpses, they have the ability to regenerate and melee attacks aren’t very effective against them. Therefore, it’s best to use firearms or projectiles to defeat them.
Butcher, the target practice that will spawn the Nikki prize key, can be found – as mentioned – in Beverly Hills towards the hiking trail in the northwestern section of the map. It will spawn only after you completed the Santa Monica Pier level and have returned to Dr Reed with the blood drive. Even if you try to visit the right location before having completed those main quests, the zombie who drops the prize key will not appear. Kill the zombie to get your hands on the Nikki prize key.
Once it’s dead, return to Nikki’s Mansion, a nice red-brownish brick building right next to the hiking trail. Enter, proceed indoors past the kitchen and then go upstairs. Enter through the right doorway and locate the nearby closet upon entry. Within the closet, you will notice Nikki’s Bounty nicely lying on the floor to your right. Use the key on it to open the lockbox and acquire the Extinction Event superior pistol, the Superior Ranged Liquidator Mod and of course, some cash.
