How to complete the wealthy boy quest in Octopath Traveler 2 

When you speak to the Wealthy Boy, he’ll first ask for a grape. If you give him a Grape, he won’t be happy and will insult you. However, you’ll notice that the orange bubble above his head hasn’t disappeared, which means the quest isn’t over yet.

Talk to him again and he’ll ask for an Inspiriting Plum this time. Give it to him and he’ll toss you a few leaves again and let you know how lacking your will is to his own. However, you’ll still notice the orange bubble persists.

To learn more about him and his family, use a Path Action such as Scrutinize. This will tell you where his father lives, which is at the Church in Canalbrine. You can then use a Path Action to recruit the Wealthy Boy’s Father and bring him back to New Delsta. 

With the father in tow, speak to the boy again and everything will unfold in front of you. The quest will be complete, and you will receive a reward of 9,000 Leaves and a Sharp Nut (M).
