It’s time. Hogwarts Legacy is here to let us create a character and explore the wizarding school until our heart’s content. Hogsmeade? The Forbidden Forest? It’s all ripe for exploring in the latest game based on JK Rowling’s series of books about Harry Potter. That’s all well and good, but what is the Hogwarts Legacy size? Ah, yes. You better get to clearing some space.
Below, you’ll find everything we know about the Hogwarts Legacy size, including how much space on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC. You might think the game would be the same size on all three platforms, but that isn’t the case at all.
How much space does Hogwarts Legacy take up?
Hogwarts Legacy requires 80.20 GB of space on the Xbox Series X console. This is how large the installation for the game is according to one Reddit user who screenshotted their installation progress. On PC, Hogwarts Legacy will require 85 GB of space according to the wizard game’s Steam page. It is currently unknown how large Hogwarts Legacy will be on PlayStation consoles, but due to the console’s compression technology, it could be up to half the size, so we theorize it will be approximately 50GB on the PS5.
We don’t currently have any information on how large the game will be on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch because those versions of Hogwarts Legacy have been delayed until later in 2023. But rest assured, as soon as we know, we will update this guide.
