Avatar Frontiers of Pandora pollution - exploring the Outer Plains.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora pollution – how to remove it

Dealing with pollution is a key part of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and this guide will go through everything you need to know. As you’re exploring the world of Pandora, you’ll notice various polluted areas. Plants won’t be harvestable there and hunting wildlife will give you no rewards. Overall, the area is completely ruined until you remove the pollution. So, let’s see how to do it.

Pollution explained – what is it?

Polluted areas can be distinguished on your map by their brownish terrain. Also, if you’re there in the overworld, you’ll notice everything is burned and decayed, while you’re unable to harvest plants as they’re polluted.

Overall, pollution makes a biome completely useless. You can’t gather, hunt, or interact with anything in that biome until you remove the pollution. Also, the biome looks ugly and sad since it has lost all its colors.

How to remove pollution in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

To remove pollution in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, you must search the polluted area until you find an RDA base. Once you get close, you’ll get certain objectives to damage that base, and completing these will remove the pollution from the area entirely.

An important thing to keep in mind is that you won’t see the RDA base location on the map. To find it easily, use your mount to explore the area and fly around any brown terrain on the map. The bases are always fairly big, so you’ll be able to notice them easily after a while. Just make sure to check all brown areas since RDA bases can be positioned on the edge of polluted zones.

How to clear RDA bases in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

You’ll get a temporary sidequest once you get close to the base. You’ll need to pull certain levers and deactivate machines around the base to make it unusable. These will all be highlighted when using your Na’vi senses (default hotkey: X), so don’t worry about finding them.

As for how to clear the base, stealth is an option, and I actually recommend it instead of going head-on. You can sneak around, take down some of the weaker enemies with your bow, and move around the patrolling robots to complete all the objectives without raising the alarm. Of course, you can also go loud. However, it’s much more risky as there are a lot of tough enemies around the base.

In conclusion, you can clear pollution in Avatar Frontiers of the Pandora by locating and clearing RDA bases in the polluted area. At first, you won’t see these bases on your map, so you will need to explore the polluted zone until you find them. Then, complete the objectives stealthily or loudly, and you’ll see the plants regrow afterward.
