Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora hunting – how to track creatures

If you know what kind of creature you’re after, finding it is easy. Use your Hunter’s Guide from the character menu, and you’ll be able to see its favorite biomes. Then, head to those biomes, and you’ll either find the creature or catch its scent (a red trail that guides you to the creature if followed).

Alternatively, if you’re just roaming the open world and hunting anything you can find, make sure to use your Na’vi senses (default hotkey: X) to inspect it first. Then, view the information in your Hunter’s Guide.

It’s important to keep in mind that there are three versions of most creatures: Young, Adult, and Mature. The latter two are rarer to find but yield more materials when killed.

How to get Merciful and Clean Kill bonuses

The most important part of hunting in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is ensuring you get both Merciful Kill and Clean Kill bonuses. To get a Merciful Kill, you must kill the animal in as few shots as possible. This isn’t too strict, as I’ve managed to get a Merciful Kill with even three shots. However, the other bonus is significantly harder.

To get a Clean Kill bonus, you have to kill the animal in one shot while hitting its weak spot. You can see an animal’s weakspot via the Hunting Guide or by checking the animal with your Na’vi sense. The weak spot will glow in orange.

Also, if you hunt animals with any of the RDA weapons, the materials will be ruined, and you won’t be able to harvest anything.

Where to use hunting materials in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Now that you’ve managed to get hunting materials, you can use them to craft unique gear via any crafting station. Crafting stations can be found easily in Na’vi bases and in repaired labs. From there, you’ll be able to use the materials gathered to craft a wide variety of equipment (weapons and armor) as well as mods.

Just remember that the gear score of the items you’ll craft depends on the rarity and quality of the gathered materials. Thus, aim for rarer creatures and always try to get both hunting bonuses mentioned above.

To summarize this Avatar Frontiers of Pandora hunting guide, use your Hunter’s guide and Na’vi senses to track animals easily. Then, make sure to kill them in one shot by targeting their weakspot to get both hunting bonuses. This way, when using their materials to craft gear, you’ll be able to get higher-quality items.
