Atomic Heart is an upcoming FPS RPG from Mundfish that will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In this guide, we will take you through Atomic Heart character creation and whether it is possible in the game.
The RPG takes place in an alternate universe where the Soviet Union of 1955 has advanced technology to a state of utopia, allowing robots to take over manual labor and improve the lives of citizens. The protagonist, P-3, must uncover the truth behind these robots.
As the release date for Atomic Heart is set for Feb. 21, 2023, players are eager to learn more about the game. So, let’s find out about the Atomic Heart character creation system.
Is there character creation in Atomic Heart?
As an RPG, players can expect lots of gun-based combat within sci-fi environments in Atomic Heart. However, while character creation is a common addition to any RPG, there is no character creation in Atomic Heart.
In Atomic Heart, players take on the role of Major Nechaev, a military man in service of the Soviet state. As it turns out, character gender cannot be altered, nor can their background be changed as in Mass Effect. Players can spend ability points to mold their character according to their play style, but boss battles cannot be avoided.
Major Nechaev has a distinct appearance with a gruff-like beard and slicked-back undercut hairstyle. He wears a black turtleneck underneath a mechanics jumpsuit, buckled by a black belt. Unfortunately, players cannot change their character’s appearance.
Preorder bonuses for Atomic Heart included skins to give two of your weapons a golden sheen, which is a neat thing to introduce to the game. However, when it comes to customizing who your character is or what they look like, you don’t get any choice. Atomic Heart does not have character creation or the ability to change your appearance.
