You can get Amethyst from Amethyst Nodes and Gem Nodes in the Mines (35+ floors). It is also a rare drop from Green Slimes, fishing, and panning. They might be even present in Fishing Treasure Chests and Garbage Can. Furthermore, there is a 10% drop chance of getting Amethyst if you manage to defeat Dwarvish Sentry in the Volcano Dungeon. Thus, you have to put some effort into finding it.

You can use Amethyst as a gift for Clint, Dwarf, Abigail, and Emily as they all love it. It is also tied to “Clint’s Attempt” Quest, in which you have to give an Amethyst to Emily.
