Are you trying to find the lighthouse key in Alan Wake 2 but can’t figure out how? Here’s everything you must know. If you find yourself in Watery and want to unlock the lighthouse, you’ve come to the right place. However, keep in mind that the key will take a while to find, and even then, the rewards are not quite worth it. Let’s examine how to find it and what rewards to expect from it.

Alan Wake 2 lighthouse key - opening the final stash.

How to find the Lighthouse Key in Alan Wake 2

To get the Alan Wake 2 lighthouse key, you must unlock all 22 stashes in the game, and the final one is guaranteed to contain it. There is no easier way to get it and you must go through all previous 21 stashes before being able to find it.

If you’ve opened 22 stashes and haven’t gotten the key, try restarting the most recent save file and open the last stash again. If it still doesn’t work, you won’t be able to access the lighthouse at all due to a bug. However, you aren’t missing much since the rewards are lackluster.

Lighthouse rewards

After you get the key, travel to Watery and specifically to its west side. Climb the hill towards the lighthouse and use the key to get inside. Within the Lighthouse, you can expect the following rewards:

  • 2x Manuscript Pages
  • 1x Flashbang
  • 1x Flare
  • 2x Propane Tanks
  • Rifle and Shotgun ammo
  • 1x Trauma Pad

While these rewards can seem helpful, they aren’t as much. That’s because you must collect 22 stashes before being able to access them, which means you’ll already have more than enough of each resource to spare. If one reward stands out, it’s the Manuscript Pages since they offer some interesting details about the backstory between Ilmo and Jaakko.

To sum up, you can get the lighthouse key in Alan Wake 2 by opening all 22 stashes in the game. Then, you’ll be able to unlock the lighthouse on Watery and access all the aforementioned rewards. However, there is no trophy and most of the rewards are not worth the effort of going through the stashes. What do you think about these rewards? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
