Sons of the Forest is a survival game, which means that you need to fend for yourself. This includes finding your own food. In this guide, we will take you through how to use Fish trap Sons of the Forest.

If you’re having trouble finding a consistent source of food in Sons of the Forest, crafting a Fish Trap can help. Not only is it an easy and cheap way to get food, but it can also provide you with a steady supply of fish.

So, let’s find out how you can get and use Fish trap Sons of the Forest!

How to use Fish trap Sons of the Forest

To craft a Fish Trap, you’ll need to gather 25 sticks from around the island. Once you have them, open your inventory by pressing “I” and select the “Guide Books” tab. You’ll then need to press and hold “X” to access the craftable objects menu, and then select the “Traps” tab.

Make sure you’re standing near a body of water before you place the Fish Trap. Once you’ve selected the Fish Trap option, a white outline of the structure will appear in the water, and you can place it in a good spot. Press “E” several times to build it, and it will be ready to catch any fish that swim by.

Once you’ve set up the Fish Trap, you don’t need to do much else. Just give it some time to attract fish, then return to it. You should be able to interact with the Fish Trap and claim the fish that have swum inside your trap.

It’s important to note that you need to place the Fish Trap on a river going downstream, and that it must be visibly inhabited by fish. If you place the trap in the wrong spot, you run the risk of not catching any fish at all.
