The game’s story details and overview

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is a remake of the 2006 Frogwares point-and-click adventure game of the same new that features “new visuals, quests, stories lines and mechanics along with a full overhaul of the entire game.”

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened continues the story of young Sherlock Holmes and is the first case that Sherlock and Watson team up together on, allowing us to find out more about the pair’s origins story.

Where most other Sherlock Holmes games follow Arthur Conan Doyle’s books or cases from the movies, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened instead takes the Baker Street sleuth and puts him in the cosmic horror world of H.P. Lovecraft, where we’ll have to “investigate the Cthulhu Mythos as imagined by H.P. Lovecraft and face Eldritch horrors beyond human comprehension” according to the game’s website.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened features an insanity system similar to games like Amnesia, which makes you try to stave off the effects of the psychological horrors you face on your adventure.

This might seem familiar to you if you’ve played The Sinking City, and that’s because it is developed by the same company that created that game – Frogwares.

If you’re a sucker for horror games, why not find out everything we know about the new Silent Hill 2 remake release date or the Alone in the Dark release date. But maybe you’ve had enough spookiness for one day.
