The lighthouse is a new area introduced as part of The Awakened King DLC. However, both the upper lighthouse and the basement doors are locked and they require a key. Behind these doors, there are some very useful items but there’s no hint as to where the key is located. Derelict Lighthouse key location

Before accessing the basement, you must locate the Lighthouse Key. To get this key, head to the Derelict Lighthouse Zone and locate the lighthouse. If you haven’t unlocked this area yet, here’s how to access the Remnant 2 DLC.

While standing on the bridge and with the lighthouse behind you, head straight and to the right. Enter the large castle gate and inside, you’ll find two enemies: Gorecarver and Thunderpiercer. Once you defeat both of them, you’ll automatically get the key.

Gorecarver will charge at you with his chainsaw, while Thunderpiercer summons monsters and attacks you from afar. Keep your distance and focus on Gorecarver first, since Thunderpiercer moves slowly and you’ll be able to isolate the former by running back a few steps. They are fairly easy to defeat, as long as you play it safe and don’t rush straight in against both of them.

How to access the Derelict Lighthouse basement in Remant 2 & rewards

To access the Derelict Lighthouse basement in Remnant 2, find the lighthouse bridge and turn left before entering the lighthouse. Follow the path down and you’ll reach the basement where there’s only one door. To unlock this door, interact with the Lighthouse Key in your inventory to change its shape and use it there.

Once you unlock the door, you’ll find the Sparkfire Shotgun inside, one of the best weapons in the new DLC. Additionally, you can use the same key to get the Lighthouse Keeper’s Ring. To do that, interact with the key again in your inventory to change its shape and go back to the lighthouse bridge.

Instead of going to the basement, head straight in and follow the main stairs up until you find another locked door. Open it with the key and you’ll find the ring on the far left side. However, make sure to get the Sparkfire Shotgun before opening this door. If you go for the ring first, the key will disappear afterward and you won’t be able to get the shotgun at all.
