Stardew Valley is undoubtedly one of the most popular indie farming games that gamers can enjoy today. In this guide, we will take you through how to eat in Stardew Valley.

One of the reasons why the game is so addictive is, well, quite clearly its emphasis on food. Believe it or not, food plays an indispensable role in achieving success in this farming game. It’s crucial to keep your energy levels up to maximize your actions during the limited daylight hours.

So, let’s find out how to eat in Stardew Valley!

Stardew Valley – how to eat

The first thing that you need to do to eat in Stardew Valley is to open your inventory by pressing either “ESC” or “E.” To eat a food item, you gotta first make sure it’s in your hotbar. To do this, place the delicious item in one of the first ten slots in your inventory.

Once you have the food item in your hotbar, select it by clicking on it. The food item will then appear above your head.

Then, right-click on any blank part of the screen and select “yes” when prompted if you want to eat it. After doing so, you should see your energy refill immediately.

To ensure that you don’t lose energy, you should be careful when choosing what food to eat. Some foods, such as a fried egg, restore 50 energy, while others, like Sap or Void Mayonaise, will cause you to lose energy. It is essential to look whether a food item brings a “positive energy” or “negative energy” food before you decide to consume it.
