Painting explained in House Flipper 2

To paint in House Flipper, follow these steps:

  1. Open the store (default hotkey Tab) and type ‘Paint’ on the search bar
  2. Buy the Paint you want and place it on the floor
  3. Right-click and select the Painting tool
  4. Left-click while looking at the newly purchased paint to coat your painting tool
  5. Select the wall you want to paint and left-click on its corner to drag and select the painting area (marked with green)
  6. While aiming at the painting area, hold left-click to start painting and drag it around until you fill the whole surface

Also, every so often, your painting tool will run out of paint, and you’ll need to interact with the paint bucket again. Keep in mind that each bucker contains five fillings of paint. After that, you’ll need to buy another bucket.

As for how to unlock painting, simply progress through the main story. Keep completing missions on your laptop, and in one of the jobs, you’ll be requested to paint a wall.

All painting perks & best ones to get

To make painting more efficient, there are four painting perks in House Flipper 2. Here are all of them:

  • Paint Saver: the painting tool uses less paint
  • Pigment Economy: the painting tool uses even less paint
  • Roller of Tomorrow: the painting tool is larger and covers a 3×3 area
  • Freestyle: you can paint without having to mark the painting area (check step 5 above)

Overall, the best painting perk to get first is the Roller of Tomorrow or Paint Saver. The former will make painting significantly faster, while the latter will allow you to paint more surfaces before having to get more paint from the bucket.

To wrap up this House Flipper 2 painting guide, you can unlock painting by progressing through the main story. You can paint by buying the paint color you want, placing it on the floor, and using the paint tool to mark and paint the area you want. Just make sure to hold the left-click while painting; otherwise, it won’t work.
