Look, we’ve all been there. You’re cruising through Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 and then you realize you have way too many cars in your garage and you wonder – can you gift cars in Forza Horizon 5?

I mean, you can have an infinite amount of money, but there isn’t an infinite amount of garage space. So, wondering can you gift cars in Forza Horizon 5 is actually quite a good idea. Because you need that space, damn it, and you don’t want that precious garage clogged up with a Celica, do you?

Can you gift cars in Forza Horizon 5?

Yes – for the first time ever in a Forza game, you can gift cars to other people. Previously, you would have to sell or get rid of a car when you were done with it and there was no option whatsoever to donate it to a racer friend in need.

To gift a car, you must first have at least two cars in your garage. Once you have two cars, pause the game and go to the My Horizon menu. You can then select the Gift Drop option and choose to who you want to send the car.

The car that you gift will keep all of its customization features, so you can upgrade a car to help out a driver before you send it, or you can paint it wacky colors to troll whoever receives your Ferrari – you just didn’t mention it would be covered in anime stickers, did you?

Note that you cannot choose an individual to gift your car to; rather, you select from a group of random drivers that are either: new, returning, community collaborators, or more. A random individual who fits into one of these groups will then receive your car.

We would love to see the option of gifting a car to a friend, but it is not yet in the game.
