Escape From Tarkov Flash Drive - finding a flash drive in Customs, in the tent next to dorms.

Escape From Tarkov Flash Drive – where to find

The Flash Drive in Escape From Tarkov is one of the most infamous early-game quest items. If you’re struggling to find it, here’s what to do. One of the first Skier quests in EFT called “What’s on the Flash Drive?” will require you to find in raid two Secure Flash Drives. These can be extremely hard to find, and until you get them, you won’t be able to progress Skier’s questline. While it depends a lot on luck, there are some tips to help you get them more easily.

Where to find Flash Drive in Escape From Tarkov

The best way to find a Flash Drive in Escape From Tarkov is by checking filing cabinets (drawers), jackets, PCs, and sports bags (duffle bags). You can find these across any map. However, I highly recommend checking on Reserve since it has the most filing cabinets of all maps. Additionally, Reserve is the best scav map in Escape From Tarkov, primarily due to how many loot containers you can find. There are drawers in the black and white pawn buildings, the black bishop, the two knights, and underground. Also, there are eight drawers next to the checkpoint fence extract.

If you don’t want to go on Reserve, another great option is Interchange. USBs have a small chance to spawn in front of PCs (not inside them as loot), and you can pick them up from there. You can find a lot of PCs in Interchange (way more than any other map), so it’s your best bet. Additionally, you might get lucky and find a GPU while looting PCs.

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to get the Flash Drive. You will need to keep checking these areas and looting every container around you until you get lucky. I highly recommend using your scav on Reserve on cooldown until you get it.

To summarize, the best way to find a Flash Drive in Escape From Tarkov is by looting all the drawers, jackets, and sports bags in Reserve. This map has the most loot containers of this type compared to any other map, and they’re usually safe to loot as a scav. Keep searching everything until you get lucky. It will take a few runs, but you’ll be able to get it sooner rather than later.
