To beat the librarian, you need to navigate through the Sprawl region, which is overrun by a group of pyromaniacs called the Fanatics. The Great Library Lair, where The Librarian boss resides, is also randomly generated, making it easy to get lost in this region. To avoid getting lost, you should try to locate a Watchtower or use a Tracker’s Map.

Once you find the Great Library, you must first defeat two groups of enemies before fighting the Librarian. He will spawn in Row 4, behind three stacks of books. You should avoid destroying the books as this will trigger the Librarian’s Ignite mode. Act quickly and deplete his health before the destruction of the stacks of books ultimately makes him use the devastating attack.
