There’s always something new going on in the world of Call of Duty Warzone. There are changes to the map, new maps, new guns as time goes on, and the meta changes based on how Raven are feeling that day. But, now a fan favourite is back in the form of Call of Duty Warzone Iron Trials and we’re here for it.
Below, you’ll find all you need to know about the mode’s resurgence and implementation into Warzone, as well as details on what Iron Trials mode actually entails.
Call of Duty Warzone Iron Trials is back into the battle royale game for Season 5, which launches ahead of Modern Warfare 2 later this year. We don’t know how that game will shake up the meta either, so enjoy Iron Trials while you can.
Call of Duty Warzone Iron Trials
The Iron Trials is a Call of Duty Warzone game mode that changes the standard balancing of health and damage and makes a return for Season 5. Player health is increased two-fold, but health regeneration doesn’t kick in as quickly either. This means you can take more damage, but you’ll want to find a nice hiding spot to recover your health, while hiding from enemies.
In this mode, match duration is longer and the only available vehicles are ATVs. All other vehicles are not available.
Another change over the standard way of playing is that loadout drops are no longer free. Now you have to buy them at a pay station. However, in Iron Trials, the money you retain on death is increased, meaning the long-term saver will benefit.
Winning a fight in the Gulag redeploys you with the weapons you obtained therein. There are no fancy goodies to drop in with either.
Raven has this to say: “Loadout Drops are still a major key to winning Rebirth Iron Trials, and they can use any weapons, from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to Vanguard. Completing Contracts and earning Kills are just as important for earning money. As they are in regular Warzone, so pool together Cash with your Duo to gain this massive stepping stone to victory.”
That’s everything we know about the Warzone Iron Trials mode. For more Call of Duty information, see our guides on all the Modern Warfare 2 weapons and how to get early access to Modern Warfare 2 and play early.
