Is there a Counter-Strike 2 console version?
As the release date draws closer, gamers are eagerly awaiting news on whether or not Counter-Strike 2 will be available on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, in addition to its PC debut. However, it seems that console players will have to wait a little longer for their chance.
Currently, the CS2 beta playtest is only available for PC users. Linux and MacOS owners also unable to access the early build of the game. Valve has taken a cautious approach to the game’s release. They are allowing only a select few players to experience Counter-Strike 2 in its current form.
Unfortunately, for PlayStation and Xbox gamers, there is currently no way for them to play Counter-Strike 2. This has left many console players disappointed, as they eagerly await news of a possible console release.
While CSGO did release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012, the game is still primarily associated with the PC platform. Despite the current lack of console support, Valve has not ruled out the possibility of a PlayStation and Xbox version of Counter-Strike 2. It is possible that the game may make its way to consoles later down the line, once it has received additional updates and bug fixes.
