To complete the Fishing for Ingredients quest, players are required to gather five fish of the same type. However, before embarking on this quest, it is necessary to progress to Chapter 2. After gaining control of your characters, explore the computer located within the SSS HQ to officially accept the request.
The objective of this mission is to procure five “elongated and slender fish” for Shanshan, a waitress at Long Lao Tavern & Inn on East Street. While Shanshan will accept any variety of fish, it is recommended to acquire Eels in order to earn a greater amount of Detective Points.
Eels are an excellent choice when it comes to catching fish and earning Detective Points. Not only are they easy to catch, but they are also highly valuable. To fish for Eels, you can utilize Earthworms, which can be obtained by defeating enemies such as Berga Bugs, Horned Frogs, Deathcargots, Ocean Dromes, and Abyss Worms.
The best fishing spots can be found in various locations in Crossbell City. These locations include the Harbor District, East Crossbell Highway – River, Ursula Road – Estuary, and West Crossbell Highway – Pond. However, if you happen to be in a hurry, the Harbor District is the most convenient option for you.
Once you’ve caught five Eels, return to Shanshan and hand them over. Doing this will complete the quest, and you’ll receive the Fierce Tiger Fried Rice recipe and 3 (+5) Detective Points, and 1500 Mira.
