On PC, it is straightforward: if you’re in Build/Buy mode, just click the right mouse button once the furniture you wish to rotate is selected. Keyboard shortcuts (< and >) also work. On console, you can achieve a similar effect by pressing R1 on PS4, or RB on Xbox One, to rotate clockwise. It is L1 on PS4 or LB on Xbox One to rotate the object counter-clockwise.
