How to access console commands in Starfield?

Open up the console command in Starfield by pressing the tilde key (~). There are three major gameplay elements that you can change with the help of console commands: Player abilities and items, companion affinity, and player skills. But before doing so, you need to know the most basic console command that will help you identify objects:

  • Identification of ID: help <term/mechanic/item name> 4.

Player abilities

  • God mode: Tgm
  • Experience points: Player.modav experience <value>
  • Adding items: Player.additem <ID> <value>
  • Digipicks: Player.additem 0000000A <value>
  • Money: Player.additem 0000000F <value>

Companion affinity

Bring your companion in front of you and then press the tilde key. You can then click on the companion to see their ID. Then just use the following command consoles:

  • To see their affinity value: getav com_affinity
  • To change their affinity value: setav com_affinity <value>
