Before you start gliding, it’s important to make the right preparations. Specifically, while they aren’t essential, it will help a lot to have the following skills:
- Spectacular Wings: Available in the Traversal part of the Suit Tech Tree, this skill improves flying distance and handling.
- Ultimate Wings: Available in the Traversal part of the Suit Tech Tree, this skill improves diving while using the wings.
With these, you’ll be able to maneuver more easily while in the air.
How to get the Soar Trophy in Spider-Man 2
To get the Spider-Man 2 Soar trophy, you must glide from the Financial District to Astoria. You don’t have to follow a specific route, as there are various wind rings around the map and you can use any that suit you. Due to that, you can start from any point within the Financial District. However, I recommend starting from the Freedom Building, which is the tallest building in the Financial District. Set a marker on the bottom left corner of Astoria and you’re ready to start.
Dive and head towards the checkpoint while using your Web Wings. When you’re around 2,600m away from the checkpoint, you’ll see your first wind draft. Turn left and follow it through the buildings until it leads you to an updraft. Head straight through the buildings and you’ll find a second updraft, which will give you enough altitude to reach the wind rings that are on the river.
Halfway through the river, follow the air draft that turns left towards the checkpoint and the rings will lead you all the way past the bridge and to Astoria.
