Kiana, the Forest Queen attack patterns

One of the best tips for this fight is to memorize all Kiana attack patterns in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Here are all her moves:

  • Shadow Strike & Jump: The boss turns into a wind gust, and two glowing eyes appear on you. Then, the boss strikes the location where the red eyes are, jumps high in the air, and throws multiple purple explosive pods around the map. After 75% HP, Kiana will stomp the ground after throwing the pods. To avoid this, dodge away when the red eyes stop moving, jump, and use your bow to take down the two closest pods.
  • Shadow Strike: Similar to the above pattern, Kiana disappears and attacks from the shadows after revealing the attack location with her red-glowing eyes. This time, she won’t jump away. Dodge to avoid the first attack, and then you can hit her three to four times. This is the best pattern for free damage. After 75% HP, three clones will strike the ground once she dashes away. Dodge to avoid them.
  • Spear Throw & Dash: Kiana goes to the edge of the map and starts targeting you with the spear. Stay on the ground and jump at the last second to dodge the spear. Then, while in the air, use your dash to avoid the beast charging towards you. As you’re dashing above it, you can hit below you to damage it once or twice.
  • Spear Shuriken: Kiana goes to the edge of the map and throws her spear as a Shuriken, hitting low. While you can go to the other edge of the map to avoid this, I don’t recommend it. Instead, get close, jump to dodge the shuriken, hit her three times, and then jump to avoid the returning shuriken.
  • Dodge & Parry: At 75 and 25% HP, you will get transferred to a red-instanced world. There, you’ll have to dodge and parry various attacks. You can’t damage the boss. Parry as many attacks as you can to build Athra gauge. When you can’t parry, use your jump and dash to avoid as many attacks as you can.
  • Rotating Spear Charge: After 75% HP, Kiana will gain a new attack. She goes to the edge of the map and starts rotating her spear. Use the Shadow of the Simurgh Time Power (default hotkey L1/E) to dodge this.
  • Spear Throw & Purple Beam: After 75% HP, Kiana will throw her spear high as a boomerang, while the beast will shoot a purple beam low. Jump to avoid the beam and dash towards the boss to damage it. The spear will return low, so be ready to jump and dodge.
  • Spear Throw & Yellow Charge: Kiana goes to one edge of the arena and the beast on the other. Kiana throws the spear high, and the beast throws it back low. Dodge the spear, and try to damage Kiana if you have time. Afterward, Kiana jumps in the air and dashes towards you with her eyes glowing yellow. You must parry this attack. If you do, you’ll deal a lot of damage.

To summarize this Kiana boss guide in PoP TLC, you can beat her with enough practice after learning her attack patterns. Make sure to parry the yellow charge attack and dodge on time, without getting too greedy with your attacks.
