How to solve the EMF booster puzzle and get into the mines in Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals

Once you’ve reached the Church of the Grand Architect on the west side of the island, you’ll find wires leading to a nearby ghost town. You’ll find some combination two combination locks are needed to restore electricity and progress into the mines.

There is a rift in space and time that you can enter right outside the post office. The first time you enter this, it will take you to that spot in the 1300s. However, you need to travel to after the mine was built so that the entrance is there but not blocked as it is in the modern day.

To solve the puzzle and get into the mines, you need to enter the numbers 8 and 9 into the locks, then enter the rift. That’s because you need to travel to the year 1890, when the mine was built. You find hints to this fact in the nearby cemetery, which says that the mine opened in the 1870s and closed in 1892 because of an accident.

Seeing as the only numbers you can affect are the middle two, that’s why you need to enter 8 and 9. Once you’ve entered those numbers and entered the rift, simply walk into the mine entrance and you’ve solved the puzzle.
