How to join a party in Nightingale
After completing the tutorial, you can access the parties and social menu by pressing the ‘P’ key on your keyboard. this is where you can search for other players you might want to join your party. You by their first name at the moment, without any numbers.
But now that you’ve found them, how do we invite them? Well, select their name from the search results and send them an invitation. On the party interface, you will also find an option to set your party invites to either private or public. If you set it to private, you will not receive any party invites. Therefore, make sure to set it to public if you want to receive party invites from other players.
How to join a realm in Nightingale
Going back to the party interface, by pressing P on your keyboard, this is where you can let other players join your realm, even when you are not online. To invite a player to your realm, simply click the “Invite to Realm” button, confirm your decision, and the invitation will be sent to the player.
Naturally, be careful who you invite to your realm, since as mentioned, players can go ahead and interact with your world even when you are not around. The realm is hosted on dedicated servers managed by the dev team.
When the invited player loads up their character, they will automatically be directed to the realm they have been invited to. This way, they can play in the realm even when you are not online. It’s worth mentioning that you can invite multiple players to your realm, allowing them to join and play at their convenience.
How to leave a realm in Nightingale
If you wish to leave a realm that you have joined and return to your original base, you just can press the ‘M’ key to open the map. Underneath the compass, you will find an option that says “Travel to Respite”. After confirming the decision, probably a couple of times, you are free to go back.
Better to keep in mind that leaving a realm means you may not be able to rejoin it without a new invitation. However, if you know that one of your friends might visit that realm, they can reinvite you to it and continue the adventures together. This flexibility allows players to switch between realms and their home world as needed, as long as they have a friend who can send them an invitation.
