What we know about Homeworld 3’s plot
Although currently, a lot of plot information about this game is under wraps, we do know that the events in Homeworld 3 will take place after the events of the previous two games in the series. Meaning we will get to explore the galaxy long after the discovery of the ancient hyperspace gate network.
We will also face off against a new enemy known as The Anomaly, who are just demolishing gates and planets and leaving a trail of destruction and darkness behind them. And Imogen S’Jet, Karan’s successor, also plays an important role in the story as well. It has been revealed that this instalment will have more roguelike challenges and progression and a much more elaborate multiplayer and cooperative gameplay structure.
All of the trailers currently out for Homeworld 3
You can currently watch three major trailers for Homeworld 3, the first one was released back in 2019 and was just an announcement trailer, then in December of 2021, we were able to see a cinematic reveal trailer that showcased what Homeworld 3 may look like with its cinematic shots of the galaxy with beautiful visuals.
We were also able to see the main character of previous Homeworld games, Karan S’jet. Finally, in September of 2022, an extended gameplay trailer for Homeworld 3 hit the internet. The trailer itself had actual in-game footage which many players were highly anticipating seeing.
Homeworld 3 release date
Homeworld 3 was originally supposed to launch in Q4 2022, however, it got delayed to the first half of 2023 and then again to February 2024. Two of the major reasons for this delay were to avoid crunch time and to deliver a much more polished version of the game.
What platforms Homeworld 3 will be released on?
This is pretty unfortunate for console players, but Homeworld 3 will be only PC-exclusive. However, this may change in the future once the game is released.
