The brand new Harry Potter game is finally here to charm players. Once you take admission at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, you will be sorted into a Hogwarts house. This is one of the first choices that you will be making in the game. Players might be wondering – can you change your house in Hogwarts Legacy?

As a fifth-year student, you’ll be sorted into a house through your first Sorting ceremony. The old Sorting Hat will look into your inner thoughts, and tell you which house you belong to. There are four houses in Hogwarts – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. While the Hat will suggest a house for you, you will be able to choose in the end.

But sometimes, you might want to switch your house to another one. So, is it possible to change your house in Hogwarts Legacy? Let’s find out!

Can you change your house in Hogwarts Legacy?

If you’re having second thoughts about your house, you’re probably wondering if making the change is possible. It is one of the most important decisions you will make in the early game, so you need to make the decision as best as you can. Unfortunately, you will not be able to change your house in the game after you have selected it.

The final decision is made by you during the Sorting Ceremony, and you won’t be allowed to change this decision in your playthrough. The most you can do is make a new character and start a new game. Thankfully, Hogwarts Legacy offers multiple save slots so you can have more than one game running at the same time.

Well, now you know how changing your house works in Hogwarts Legacy. Want more guides on this game? Check out our list of the best spells to learn in the game and what the level cap is.
