Dead Island 2’s first story expansion will be released in November

Dead Island 2 is about to get its first story expansion called Haus. The main plot will revolve around a powerful techno-death cult called Haus that has heavy influence over L.A. According to a blog post about the expansion on the Dead Island 2’s official website,

“It’s real, and its tentacles stretch from the outskirts of the city into the very heart of L.A., manipulating the lives of hundreds, perhaps even thousands, while the authorities turn a blind eye…Rumors have been circulating for months now; Mysterious invitations to a place known only as ‘Haus’ and the guests withdrawing from society, often disappearing entirely, shortly afterwards.”

You will be able to explore new locations in Malibu, get to use new weapons like K-Crossboy and deal high damage from a long distance, or burn your enemies to cinders with Hog Roaster, and you will also get eight new skill cards.

The main antagonist will probably be the leader of this cult, Konstantin. The devs haven’t shared the detailed plotline or an official trailer for this expansion yet. But it confirmed that you will be fighting a lot of cult members in a giant Malibu Villa, so get ready for that. This villa in the press release was described as a “deranged labyrinth of biomes where rational architecture is subverted by expanding narrative spaces.”

It is clear that this story expansion is going to be strange and utterly insane. With the player delving inside places filled with zombie cultists. Dead Island 2 Haus story expansion will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Epic Games Store) on 2 November.

Dead Island 2 fans will definitely be happy with this news, especially after the tumultuous development period this game had to go through. If you want to know more about this story expansion, check out the press release.
