Skull and Bones crossplay and cross-platform support explained

Ubisoft’s pirate simulator Skull and Bones has seen more revamps and release dates than anything we’ve ever seen before. But, thankfully, the game is finally on the horizon now and it has a huge multiplayer aspect to it. It’s also coming out on lots of different platforms, leading us to ponder the Skull and Bones crossplay features that may or may not be included.

After all, a game about being a pirate? It has to be played with friends so that you can plunder the seven seas together and make arr! noises over voice chat. So, grab yourself a bigger boat for friends and company because it’s not long until the game releases.

Read on below to find out everything we know about the Skull and Bones crossplay features coming to Ubisoft’s pirate game.

Skull and Bones crossplay

Skull and Bones will have full crossplay and cross-platform features across all platforms. That means that you can play with your friends no matter whether you have a Sony or Microsoft console, or a PC.

Skull and Bones is set to release on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect. This means that not only will people with the latest generation of consoles be able to play with each other and PC users, they will also be able to play with those streaming the game via the cloud.

This is something we expect to see more of as time goes on and cloud gaming becomes more popular and internet speeds improve, as we’ve seen with Microsoft’s xCloud project.
