The most recent Nintendo Direct has fans talking over some of its major announcements, with many loving the game announcements. It’s why many are already talking about Super Mario RPG, its release date, trailer, news, and so much more.
Fans have been wanting a remake of this game for the longest time, due to its battle system and art style. Despite plenty of RPGs using similar systems, many still feel that this SNES classic did them best. Soon, players will know what these retro gamers are talking about.

Release Date
Gamers won’t have to wait long to get their hands on this SNES remake. The game will be coming out on November 17, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch. It’s still a bit of a wait but at least fans know when the game is coming out.
November is a pretty reliable date for AAA games so seeing this remake fall in with that window makes sense. Considering how popular the Switch still is, we’re sure this RPG is going to sell a ton of copies.

Excited gamers can check out the trailer below, looking pretty much like everything that was in the Direct. From what can be seen, it looks like a one-to-one remake of the classic game with better visuals. Obviously, that’s far from a bad thing.
Visually, this is one of the freshest-looking games in the entire Mario series. After years of the “New” Super Mario Bros. style, this is a breath of fresh air. Hopefully, the rest of the game lives up to expectations.
News
Box art for the game has been shown but it’s not yet clear if this is the final one. It looks like a placeholder, due to the all-white background, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Composer Yoko Shimomura will be returning to remake some of her older scores for the game. She’s one of the best composers in gaming, as Kingdom Hearts fans know, so her return is great.
Right now, it’s not yet known if there will be any gameplay overhauls or new additions to the RPG. Players will have to wait and find out.
