Octopath Traveler 2 Waiting All Day and Night – how to complete the quest

In Octopath Traveler 2, one of the quests available is “Waiting All Day and Night.” You can locate it in Canalbrine, Harborlands at night, where you’ll encounter an NPC near the Tavern who is waiting for his companion but cannot find him.

“Waiting All Day and Night” is a relatively simple quest to complete if you pay attention to the Youth’s dialogue. He mentions that he’s been waiting at a particular table for his companion to arrive. Therefore, his companion must be located nearby. Interestingly, in the morning, you’ll find the companion sitting in the same chair as the Waiting Youth.

To complete the quest, you will need to change the time of day and bring a character who can take a person with you. For this mission, you will be able to use either Partitio or Agnea’s Path Action. As for Temenos, he can only guide in the morning. So, you can’t use him in this quest.

As it turns out, the two characters involved in the quest are actually twins. The older twin knew the correct location, but he mistook the time of day. As a reward for completing the quest, you will receive G and a couple of useful items.
