MultiVersus voice chat – can you talk to people?

No real multiplayer game is complete without a hefty dose of screaming and hollering at your opponent, right? With the popularity of Player First Games’ title rising up, many have been looking forward to a MultiVersus voice chat system, which would allow trash talking with a little bit of freedom. At least, without using our hands, that’d be a baby’s toy.

MultiVersus is really doing the rounds, especially lately as it’s being confirmed as working perfectly on Steam Deck. Now, it is completely possible to trash your opponents while on the go. Either playing as The Iron Giant or Superman, battling against Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo, the multiplayer title does seem to have a little bit of quirky fun for everyone.

But, outside of strictly 1-vs-1 matches, one of the more played game modes is still 2-vs-2, which definitely requires strategical thinking and a lot of synchronising tactics with our friend while we battle the evil Looney Tunes forces. And what better way to do that than talking directly into a microphone in MultiVersus voice chat?

Unfortunately, MultiVersus does not have voice chat or game chat. This means that, at the moment, there is no way to directly communicate with our teammate as we fight our even to throw a little bit of colorful language as we pummel our opponents with batarangs or terrible canine attacks.

On the plus side, that means you’ll get spared a lot of trash talk and toxicity for sure, so hey there’s one definitely good thing for those that are currently lost in the MultiVerse. But, unfortunately, this means all strategies will have to rely on typing out in the game itself.
