Currently, CD Projekt Red has not revealed any detailed information regarding the nature of this project. We don’t know if it is going to be a film or a series. For this live-action project, CD Projekt Red is going to work with Anonymous Content, the media company behind critically acclaimed series like True Detective and Mr. Robot, as well as award-winning films like Spotlight and The Revenant.

During this collaboration, the game studio is working directly with AC Studios’s Head of TV, Garret Kemble, Director of Development, Ryan Schwartz, and Chief Creative Officer, David Levine, who has been involved in the production of series like Game of Thrones, Westworld, True Blood, and many more.

CD Projekt Red has stated that they are in a very early stage of development, and not even a screenwriter has been hired for this project yet. However, they have said that the story of this live-action project is going to be brand new. AC Studios is going to be the studio for this project. The creative team of Cyberpunk 2077 will be working closely with the live-action team as well.

Fans should note that it is not the first time the world of Cyberpunk 2077 has been adapted for a new medium. Previously, CD Projekt Red collaborated with Trigger Studios and released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime series set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, and it was a huge success.
